The system includes resistor ladder linearity compensation. For the first time, an R-2R system is combined with advanced functions such as a Linear FIR filter (Finite Impulse Response) and switchable OS/NOS (Oversampling/Non-Oversampling) filters on a portable DAC & Amp. The HiBy FC6 utilises 96 high-precision resistors in an R-2R network with undisclosed black-ops tech for linearity compensation to yield natural tonality, accuracy, and transparency of traditional Delta-Sigma DACs. HiBy has designed the FC6's amplification architecture to be on par with most high-end Digital Audio Players. It features two flagship-class OPA1622 headphone amp chips and 4-way current mode amplification. The HiBy FC6 has a Discrete headphone amplification stage delivering jitter-free audio amplification that prevents clipping. It is also equipped with dual crystal oscillators at 45.158MHz and 49.152MHz, for accurate clocking of 44.1x and 48x kHz music sources and vanishingly low jitter.

What is R-2R Ladder DAC and how is it better than the binary-weighted resistor DAC?
The R-2R Ladder DAC (Digital-to-Analogue Converter) uses an R-2R ladder network within the inverting adder circuit to deliver an analogue output that is almost equal to the digital (binary) input. Since the R-2R Ladder DAC uses R and 2R resistors, the development of highly accurate resistors becomes easier. This is an advanced DAC system that efficiently overcomes the limitations of the traditional binary-weighted resistor DAC. If the digital inputs contain more bits, an apt number of additional R-2R resistors are added to the system. Due to these advantages, the R-2R Ladder DAC is considered to be superior to the binary-weighted resistor DAC.

Does it support MQA?

What is MQA and how does it make a difference or how is it different from regular PCM & DSD files?
Our ability to hear well allows us to pinpoint the source of sounds. Our brains create a 3D acoustic image as sounds arrive at us, spaced out by milliseconds. This same capacity enables us to place the various instruments according to their sounds during a live performance. It's also the reason why listening to live music seems so intense and emotional, in contrast to recorded music, which frequently feels flat. The first solution to do so is MQA, which will take you back to the original performance by capturing this important timing information.
How does MQA work?
Transients over time are muddled when an analogue sound is translated into a digital signal, a process known as temporal blurring. As a result, recorded music sounds flat when compared to 'live' music since our ears are unable to distinguish the sources of individual sounds. This distortion can be removed with MQA to produce the most accurate 3D soundstage ever heard.

What is R-2R Ladder DAC and how is it better than the binary-weighted resistor DAC?
The R-2R Ladder DAC (Digital-to-Analogue Converter) uses an R-2R ladder network within the inverting adder circuit to deliver an analogue output that is almost equal to the digital (binary) input. Since the R-2R Ladder DAC uses R and 2R resistors, the development of highly accurate resistors becomes easier. This is an advanced DAC system that efficiently overcomes the limitations of the traditional binary-weighted resistor DAC. If the digital inputs contain more bits, an apt number of additional R-2R resistors are added to the system. Due to these advantages, the R-2R Ladder DAC is considered to be superior to the binary-weighted resistor DAC.

The HiBy FC6 can decode PCM up to 32bit/768kHz and Native DSD up to DSD512.

What is MQA and how does it make a difference or how is it different from regular PCM & DSD files?
Our ability to hear well allows us to pinpoint the source of sounds. Our brains create a 3D acoustic image as sounds arrive at us, spaced out by milliseconds. This same capacity enables us to place the various instruments according to their sounds during a live performance. It's also the reason why listening to live music seems so intense and emotional, in contrast to recorded music, which frequently feels flat. The first solution to do so is MQA, which will take you back to the original performance by capturing this important timing information.
How does MQA work?
Transients over time are muddled when an analogue sound is translated into a digital signal, a process known as temporal blurring. As a result, recorded music sounds flat when compared to 'live' music since our ears are unable to distinguish the sources of individual sounds. This distortion can be removed with MQA to produce the most accurate 3D soundstage ever heard.
