The FiiO M11S has phenomenal specifications with high-performance ES9038Q2M DAC chips, 4th gen FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) technology, and Audiophile-grade power supply that contribute to its exceptional audio reproduction. The M11S, right out of the box, is a player that captures your attention with its elegant design and superb functionality. The FiiO M11S allows you to access your music in many different ways with its Bluetooth transmission and DLNA/AirPlay (Digital Living Network Alliance) support.
PHENOMENAL AUDIO PERFORMANCE ACHIEVED WITH DUAL DAC ARCHITECTURE FEATURING ESS SABRE DAC CHIPS
The Digital Audio Player's capability highly depends on the DAC chips; that it houses. The DAC chips help determine how successfully the player can convert digital to analogue signals. This design consideration might lead to some interference if the DAC chips are not of the highest calibre. The team of engineers at FiiO considered this design aspect and has included high-performance dual ES9038Q2M DAC chips. The question arises as to why dual DAC chips; when one DAC chip is sufficient to reproduce good quality audio transmission. The engineers have specifically included dual DAC chips, each dedicated to the left and right; channels. This design perspective allows for better reproduction of every last detail in your music. The ES9038Q2M is a 32-Bit stereo low-power audio DAC chip. The ES9038Q2M SABRE Reference DAC is a very high-performance, 32-bit, Stereo audio D/A converter designed for; audiophile-grade portable power-sensitive applications such as digital music players, Blu-ray players, audio pre-amplifiers and A/V receivers, and professional applications such as recording systems, mixer consoles and digital audio workstations. Using the critically acclaimed ESS patented 32-bit HyperStream™ DAC architecture and Time Domain Jitter Eliminator, the ES9038Q2M SABRE32 Reference DAC delivers exceptional sonic performance. These DAC chips allow decoding support up to 384kHz/DSD256 (Direct Stream Digital).
SPECTACULAR AMPLIFICATION ACHIEVED WITH AUDIOPHILE-GRADE COMPONENTS FUSED WITH LINEAR POWER SUPPLY AND FOURTH-GENERATION FPGA TECHNOLOGY
A Digital Audio Player has to have dependable amplification circuitry to support the DAC chips' operability. A team of engineers at FiiO designed the M11S to host I/V OPA1612 and LPF OPA1642 in its amplification circuitry for its advantages and operational capabilities. The OPA1612 bipolar-input operational amplifiers achieve low noise density with an ultralow distortion. The OPA1612 offers a rail-to-rail output swing that increases headroom and maximises dynamic range. The M11S includes OPA926, dedicated op-amps for balanced and unbalanced connections. Under a 32 ohm load, single-ended power output is 200mW while balanced power output is at a healthy 670mW-allowing the M11S to power the most demanding headphones/IEMs. The amplifier and op-amp sections of the M11S are independently powered. These are isolated from each other, ensuring clean and abundant power while resulting in better dynamics. This design consideration enables the M11S to handle any use case scenario. The DAP's Digital Audio Purification System FiiO includes 4th-gen FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays) with phase-locked loop technology. Audio data is passed through a FiiO-developed 4th-gen FPGA with phase-locked loop technology, which works together with two custom femtosecond crystal oscillators to provide a high-precision and low-jitter unified clock source for the entire audio architecture. This design architecture delivers clean and precise audio output without jitter or distortion. Thanks to meticulous design refinement, the M11S has a low noise floor of 1.8°V, 62% lower than the previous generation. FEATURES BLUETOOTH 5.0 WITH LOWER LATENCY AND SMOOTH TRANSMISSION WITH FIVE OPERATING MODES FOR ADDED CONVENIENCE

With this consideration in mind, the engineers created the M11S with Bluetooth capabilities so that you can stream music wirelessly. The M11S has Bluetooth 5.0 capability allowing for longer transmission distances and stronger signals. Access your music in a variety of ways! With LHDC transmission (Low Latency High-Definition Audio Codec) compatibility for the first time included in a Digital Audio Player, you can receive or transmit Bluetooth audio in numerous formats. You can also use DLNA/AirPlay for even more options. LHDC allows high-resolution audio streaming over Bluetooth. It is a high-quality Bluetooth codec based on the A2DP Bluetooth protocol and allows a bit rate of up to 900 kbps compared to SBC's bit rate of 345 kbps. The M11S supports Bluetooth transmission for the following audio codecs LDAC, LHDC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, and SBC. Bluetooth reception, it supports LDAC, AAC, and SBC. The M11S also features Android mode allowing you to enjoy many third-party apps and play the way you want. It has a Pure Music option that enables you to be free from the interference of other apps for elite-level musical immersion. Some features include Bluetooth receiving mode that allows you to receive music from other devices like smartphones and USB DAC mode, which enables you to connect to your computer, making it a high-fidelity source. It also features AirPlay mode that Bypasses iPhone Bluetooth AAC limitation.

It's again different, but almost identical to Fiio M11plus and Fiio M17 in design. And so look wise it has Hexagone/ Honeycomb style integrated futuristic design, which is quite attractive and striking. Every usable button arranged in way so that it can be operated easily by one hand. It's full size HD screen is borderless looks elegant and very sensitive. Operating UI is very simple and easy. So no confusion in operating the player. It's sturdy and has a pocketable size but it's weighty. For me it's weight is like carrying the hefty brick. Eventhough I Like it because it feels premium.
Now, most important aspect, The Sound. i will not touvh technical / hardware part. I have single word for sound quality is --BRILLIENT. ( Obviously in the Price segment) considering other aspects, sound stage is beautifull, pleasent almost perfactly ballanced but with clear vocals which makes it Different then other competitors. use of dual ESS 32 bit hyper stream chips for DAC is making huge difference in producing very clear and detail soundstage. The amplifiaction circuitery has jitter free , low noise, liquid smooth and super fast performance, with Android 10 OS and snapdragon 660(8core) processor. Which allows to process MQA 8X captures 100% of original studio perfprmance and also MQA streamimg decoding perfactly as well as DSD 64/128/256. and 32bit/384khz flack, etc.
So, performing with gorgeous Lows, Vibrant Vocals, and brillient clear Highs with just enough dose of Fun and lot more accuracy; just as I love music. Like when I couple it with my (very Basic) Beyerdynamic DT 990 pro, one of my favorite open back headphones , with my Shanling UP4 DAC, it was absolutely stunning, and sheer powerful and reach experience you would expect from 1.5 lakh DAP.
Lows have right amount of "Oomph", soundstage is quite wide ,being capable to reach the deepest? lowest notes with ease. that's something special MID has excellent layering and dynamic, very good vocals, this is true with big cans and effortless with IEMs. The HIGH are crystal clear, accurate , staight and not harsh, but some may feel it little aggressive; yet for me it makes it pleasant to hear for long hours. Thus more you hear more you love this player, makes it your Humble Buddy. I consider it as M - shape tunning, having fair extension and transient in Mid-Bass and upper Mids becomes prominent. If you love good Bass, here Bass instruments sound more protrusive and separated. so pluking of strings exerts a very blissful resonance. when clubed with my Meze rai solo OR Sony wh1000xm5, the tightness and control makes the trebel feel more naturally sounded and the Mids still offer very good details and clarity. where as highs have a clickiness which enthralled me.
Only con is it's powerful with low and mid impedence headphones and IEMs; otherwise you need to angage it with good AMP.
it's can be used as Android mode for streamimg services, USB DAC mode, Pure Music mode ( usuing FIIO music application), AirPlay mode, and Bluetooth recevier mode as per requirement. it has a 3.5mm, 2.5mm and 4.4mm socates and also USB -C, connection. So nothing is left out. Volume can be controlled by clicking left side key or by touch controled slider is greate.
MQA files are decoded with 8x , automatically, while playing in Pure music mode or an Android streaming mode which is good. Another thing is Wi-Fi music transfer fuction for trasfering files to and from PC or Mobile isimprtant and usuful.
it incorporate full range of bluetooth codeck like, LDAC, AptX, AptX-HD, but shamefully BT virson is 4.2, which should have been 5 or upper.
14 hrs of battery, actually lasted 12.8hrs is good enough, 3gb/32gb memory is emple; when you can use SD card of up to 2tb, is sufficiant, and Idea for my 24000+ high resolution music files at a time.
Thus Fiio M11s offers lots of performance / streaming support in a easy to carry slab while commuting, with good battery, superior performance you expect from more expensive Daps high end audio models, making you smile for Long term Listning.
I'm damn sure anyone who listen to his favorite music on this M11s for Half an hour everyday continuously for 8 to 10 days will Fall in Love with FiioM11s
